Hello, I'm Julia

Updated: Jan 5, 2021

My own journey into health started during as a Uni student in the UK. While researching for my major in Psychology, I found myself naturally more drawn to the emerging research on the benefits of nutrition and meditation than I was to the studies on rats and pigeons. This was the early 1990's, and my lecturers didn't all share my passion for a holistic approach. I'm pleased to say that although I learned to exclude vitamins and Buddhism from my papers, it didn't dissuade me from pursuing my own interest in Natural Health. In fact it probably gave me the gentle push I needed to dig deeper.

It was later when I came to Australia as a backpacker that I discovered the world of Naturopathy and Nutritional Medicine in all it's glory. Australia is well known for it's advanced place in the field of Natural Health, so I was delighted to find like-minded people to study Naturopathy with in Melbourne. I graduated in 2000 and have been a lifelong learner in the field ever since. My love of personal development has taken me to study and gain qualifications in Personal Fitness, Mindfulness, Vipassana Meditation, The Science of Happiness at Work, Emotional Intelligence and Professional Coaching. Through my career, I've also had the great fortune to work alongside some of the world's best Functional Medicine Practitioners, Researchers and Educators in our field, and for that I feel thoroughly blessed.

Throughout the last 20 years, I've worked in busy business environments. Leading large teams in various companies and across multiple regions. I absolutely know how it feels to have a demanding work life while juggling the demands of a busy home life too! Most importantly, I've seen how stress can make health slip down the priority list- leaving it's mark on our happiness and performance as well as our bodies.

It is with this combination of expertise and experience, that I have carefully designed programs and individual coaching sessions to support you on your journey in rediscovering your best wellness in work and in life.

In working with me, you can expect openness, support and absolute honesty. From time to time, I may need to refer you to a specialist practitioner. If this is the case, I have connections with other Natural Health Practitioners, Functional Medicine GP's, Psychologists and Allied Health Professionals and will work with you to find your ideal practitioner.

Thank you so much for being here.
